Recently, Ive found myself in a bit of a sticky situation, and Im pretty sure i currently have a concussion and minor spine trauma...although it might now be very serious. I want to kinda give you all a little run down on head injuries, and how they can affect you.

Concussions can occur easily, and although most people can walk away with one with nothing more than a headache, some can be very serious. Concussions come in 3 different grades, mild moderate and severe. Mild concussions may cause headaches, wheras more severe headaches may cause nausea and or vomiting, lack or coordination, seeing stars (seriously), slurred speech, and more.
If you have hit your head, been hit over the head, etc, you should consider going to a doctor or clinic if you suffer from some of the following symptoms:

* "seeing stars" and feeling dazed, dizzy, or lightheaded
* memory loss, such as trouble remembering things that happened right before and after the injury
* nausea or vomiting
* headaches
* blurred vision and sensitivity to light
* slurred speech or saying things that don't make sense
* difficulty concentrating, thinking, or making decisions
* difficulty with coordination or balance (such as being unable to catch a ball or other easy tasks)
* feeling anxious or irritable for no apparent reason
* feeling overly tired

Do not play a sport that encludes physical contact, or where smacking your head is a possibility, if you think you are suffering from a concussion. AND, if a person goes unconscious after being hit on the head, they must be taken to a hospital immediately, even if they feel fine... another blow could cause second impact syndrome, which could severely damage their brain.
